Rep. Steve Toth believes that it's never the government's money, but your money. He believes government should spend less so that you can keep more of your hard-earned money.

Rep. Toth authored HB 2059, which would have mandated that all references to state funds originating from taxes in official state documents, publications, and notices must use the term "taxpayer money" instead of terms like "government funds" or "state money." The bill aimed to ensure transparency and consistency in government communication while allowing exceptions for legislative documents and legal texts.

This smart bill died in the House State Affairs Committee, chaired by Republican Ken King.

We need more representatives with the limited government mindset and drive of Rep. Toth.
